My device fails to turn on
If the green light fails to come on, or partially lights up and then disappears when powering on the device, charge the device for 5 minutes and it should boot up automatically.
A single pink light at the top of my device turned on
This indicates the device has entered a recovery mode. In this case, hold the power button until the pink light disappears (10 seconds). If the pink light does not go away on holding the button, plug the device into a charger for 5 minutes and repeat.
My device failed to connect to all addresses
Error: failed to connect to all addresses; last error: UNKNOWN: ipv4:10.40.62.244:647: Failed to connect to remote host: No route to host
This means a Synapse device at the given IP could not be found, to fix:
- Double check the IP.
- Ensure the SciFi and the host PC are on the same WiFi network or their networks are bridged together.
- Restart the SciFi.
How do I interpret the status message on my device?
You can find the full list of status messages in the Synapse documentation.
For impedance measuring,kInternalError and kQueryFailed are the most likely status messages, both of which indicate an issue with the measuring algorithm itself. In either case, reach out to support@science.xyz with a copy of your query JSON, the exact probe, and the exact SciFi device for support.
The query command hangs and never returns
This is likely due to an error in the SciFi software, please reach out to support@science.xyz and provide the Query JSON, and the exact Probe and SciFi that had the issue as well as any other steps to reproduce the issue.
