Science Corporation seeks candidates for the senior level position of General Manager of Europe, based at the company’s European Headquarters in Paris and reporting directly to the C-Suite.
Responsibilities will include overseeing the company’s European business operations, and specifically developing, implementing, and overseeing the sales and go to market strategy for its groundbreaking retina implant, PRIMA, for which the company is anticipating European Union CE mark designation. (PRIMA is the first device to successfully treat blindness (in clinical trials) caused by geographic atrophy in patients with late stage macular degeneration.
This role would lead the team bringing PRIMA to market in the EU, navigate reimbursement procedures across multiple countries, engage with networks of doctors and clinicians to raise awareness of the technology, and scale production for marketing for future versions of the device. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with highly accomplished scientific and engineering professionals, be a self-starter who can work independently and get the job done, and may have prior experience bringing medical devices to market in Europe and globally.
Role responsibilities:
- Oversee all European business operations including P&L, organizational structure, and cross-functional coordination
- Drive revenue targets and strategic objectives across the region
- Partner with the clinical and scientific leads, especially those based in Europe
- Build high-performing, cross-functional teams
- Lead strategic planning and execution of new product commercialization activities
- Direct pre-launch preparation, regulatory readiness, physician training, and post-launch optimization
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and go-to-market strategies for product launches
- Build commercial infrastructure, distribution channels, and revenue growth initiatives across European markets
- Build relationships with healthcare providers, payers, regulatory bodies, and strategic partners
- Work with Director of Market Access to establish reimbursement pathways and drive product adoption
Key qualifications:
- 10+ years in senior leadership roles with direct P&L and team management responsibility
- Strategic thinker with superior intellect and sense of urgency, capable of quickly shaping market positioning and rapidly accelerating growth
- Inspirational people leader who has built, coached, and retained high-performing teams in global, matrixed organizations
- Knowledge of quality management systems, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
- Exceptional business development, client relationship, and strategic planning skills
- Business-level French proficiency required; native or fluent preferred
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Neurotech, Biotech, or Medical Device sectors
- Well-established network within EU Neurotech, Biotech, MedTech, and investment communities
Location & Travel
- Based in Paris with some international travel required. Must live in or be willing to relocate to Paris.
- Must be able to work effectively across multiple time zones
