Science is a clinical stage, vertically integrated technology company focused on solving some of neuroscience’s hardest questions and most serious unmet medical needs. We work to restore quality of life to those with debilitating conditions for which there are no treatment options, creating devices aimed at restoring vision, cognition, and mobility to patients who have lost it. To support progress across our industry, we provide state-of-the-art components and vertically integrated infrastructure for others to build on via Science Foundry.

We are seeking a Social Media Manager to own Science's social channels and take our social program to the next level. From PRIMA, our retinal implant backed by landmark clinical trials published in the New England Journal of Medicine, to our brain-computer interface, perfusion and Foundry programs, Science has no shortage of remarkable stories to tell. We need someone to share them with the world frequently, strategically, and flawlessly.

This person will be equal parts strategist and operator: rigorous and detail-obsessed in execution, sharp about where, when, and how content performs, and energized by building community around our work. What's needed is someone who treats publishing as a craft, audience growth as a discipline, and who is genuinely fascinated by neural engineering and what PRIMA means for patients.

Role responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the channel strategy: what content goes where, when to publish, in which format, and for which audience - continuously optimizing based on performance data
  • Build and execute audience growth strategies for each channel, setting growth targets and reporting on progress
  • Own day-to-day management and publishing across Science's social channels (LinkedIn, X, BlueSky, YouTube, blog, and others), maintaining a consistent, high-frequency cadence
  • Publish with rigor - own the QA process for every post, ensuring copy, links, captions, tagging, accessibility, and compliance details are flawless before anything goes live
  • Serve as community builder: engage daily with our audience, respond to comments and conversations, cultivate relationships with patients, scientists, clinicians, and the broader neurotech community
  • Amplify earned media moments - coordinating with comms to extend press coverage, conference moments, and milestone announcements across social
  • Write sharp, accurate short-form copy: captions, posts, and threads that match Science's brand voice
  • Partner closely with the communications, editorial, and video teams, translating stories and footage into platform-native formats and informing what content the engine should produce next
  • Run social listening and competitive monitoring; surface insights, trends, and conversation opportunities to the broader marketing team
  • Own social analytics and reporting, telling a clear story of month-over-month channel and audience growth

Key qualifications:

  • 5+ years managing social media channels for a brand or organization, with a demonstrated record of growing audiences and engagement
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of error-free publishing at high volume
  • Strong working knowledge of platform algorithms, formats, and best practices across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Solid short-form copywriting skills with the ability to adopt and maintain an established brand voice
  • Experience with community management - engaging audiences directly, not just broadcasting
  • Fluency with social management, scheduling, and analytics tools
  • Genuine fascination with neural engineering, neuroscience, and the PRIMA mission

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare, medical device, biotech, or another regulated industry, with comfort operating within regulatory, legal, or compliance review processes for public-facing content
  • Experience growing video-first channels (YouTube shorts, Reels, TikTok)
  • Familiarity with paid social and organic/paid coordination
  • Experience working alongside comms teams on earned media amplification
  • German language proficiency is strongly preferred
