Matthias Wagner

Director of Biohybrid Devices

Matthias is the Director of Biohybrid Devices at Science Corporation. He has more than 25 years of experience developing, manufacturing and commercializing novel devices and systems across optics, electronics, and biology.

Matthias was most recently CTO and Co-Founder of Cellino Bio, a Cambridge MA-based venture building an autonomous platform for regenerative cell and tissue manufacturing. While there he served as Principal Investigator for a $25M ARPA-H program and was the primary inventor of the company’s Optical Bioprocess which the FDA designated as an Advanced Manufacturing Technology. Previously, he co-founded and led ventures including RedShift BioAnalytics and Aegis Lightwave (acquired by Coherent). He has been part of venture leadership that has raised over $175M in various types of financing. Matthias is the inventor of over 45 issued US patents. He holds an SB in Engineering from Harvard College and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School.
