Ralf Hornig, PhD
Director of Clinical Affairs
Dr. Ralf Hornig is Director of Clinical Affairs at Science Corp. He is in overall charge of Science’s PRIMA retina implant project and is based at the company’s offices in Paris.
Ralf has more than 25 years of leadership and experience in retinal implant research and in artificial vision. He received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Hanover, Germany in 1995 and the PhD degree with highest honor in 2001 at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. Between 1996 and 2001 his research activities included system tests, computer simulations, ASIC development as well as pre-clinical tests for retina implants at the University of Bonn, Germany. He was the Director of Clinical Affairs at Intelligent Medical Implants from 2001 to 2012, and at Pixium Vision from 2012 onward, until its acquisition by Science Corp.
